About Me

"It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society." - Krishnamurti

From an early age, I became deeply aware of how common it was for people to experience challenges like anxiety and depression—both within my family system and in the wider world. This awareness sparked a natural curiosity and a desire to help others navigate the complexities of mental health and find meaningful change.

Journey to Psychotherapy

My path began with a Bachelor of Health Sciences, where I gained insight into the intricacies of health, wellbeing, and the challenges inherent in delivering effective care. A pivotal experience came during my travels to Siem Reap, Cambodia, where I evaluated the inadequacies in healthcare and education. Seeing life from a different cultural and socioeconomic perspective not only broadened my understanding of health but also challenged my assumptions about what it means to live a ‘good life.’

Returning to Australia, I saw the unique challenges modern life poses to our physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. This prompted me to explore deeper questions about human nature and how to create meaningful change. My journey led me to study a Bachelor of Integrative Psychotherapy, which taught me that transformation happens through relationships. As one of my teachers said, “100% of clients come to therapy because of relational issues.” This idea forms the foundation of my practice: while techniques are important, true healing emerges in the context of the therapeutic relationship.

My Approach

I view therapy as a joint venture, where therapist and client embark on a shared journey toward healing and growth. I value the client's perspective and see them as an active participant in the therapeutic process. My approach is non-pathologising, recognising that struggles are often responses to a society where it can be difficult to make sense of things or to feel truly connected. Together, we work to uncover meaning and create a sense of purpose, even in the midst of life’s challenges.

Through my work, I have developed an understanding of how people can create change, while appreciating that the process looks unique to each individual. Despite similarities in the 'how' of working toward change, the specifics are always shaped by the person’s unique journey. Change may not be easy, but in my humble opinion, it is the most worthwhile thing to put our efforts toward.

I work from an integrative and relational perspective, drawing on evidence-based methods, trauma-informed practices, and the insights of Carl Jung. I aim to create a compassionate and grounded space where clients feel safe to explore their challenges, discover insights, and cultivate meaningful change. My practice is especially focused on working with anxiety, relational struggles (including attachment repair), and trauma therapy.

Professional Expertise

In addition to client work, I have the privilege of lecturing at the Ikon Institute of Australia. My teaching bridges theory and practice across topics such as:

  • Integrative Psychotherapy in Theory and Practice

  • Trauma-Informed Practice

  • Ethics in Psychotherapy

  • Lifespan Development

  • Mental Health and Crisis Management

These roles deepen my understanding of the evolving field of psychotherapy and allow me to bring the latest knowledge into my work with clients.

Outside the Therapy Room

In my spare time, I enjoy reading about Jungian psychology, sipping coffee by the beach, staying active, and travelling to gain new perspectives. These pursuits inspire my personal and professional life, keeping me curious about human nature and the unique stories we all carry.

If you’re ready to explore your next steps toward healing and self-discovery, I’d be honoured to support you on your journey.
